The role of the Azure Consultant is customer facing, where you will play an active role in transforming our client’s Data Center through designing and implementing Microsoft Azure technologies. We are looking for an Azure Consultant with strong background working with Microsoft Azure in addition to extensive client facing skills and the ability to work independently.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Guide our customers through workshops and assessments to define the customers Cloud transformation roadmap.
  • Engage in senior discussions with the client and hosting partners when defining the solutions.
  • Be responsible for creating Azure High Level Designs and maintain Company IT standards, Architecture principals and Strategy, Roadmap and use cases
  • Engage in Azure TCO calculations and definition of project migration steps and time estimations
  • Advising and delivering on medium/large cloud migration engagements with customers.
  • Designing Solutions in Microsoft Azure as per project specifications and needs.
  • Identify opportunities to transform IaaS workloads to PaaS like App Services, Azure SQL databases and support with architectural design and implementation.
  • Envision and architect new innovative solutions with international colleagues to achieve the customer goals.
  • Travel regularly in region for meetings, technical reviews and onsite delivery activities.
  • To take clear technology/ domain / innovation ownership for the cloud hosting required relative to Microsoft Azure.

Qualifications & Specifications

  • In depth understanding of Microsoft Azure PaaS and IaaS, specifically: App Services, Azure SQL Database, SQL Server IaaS implementation, Availability sets, Azure Networking concepts, Express Route, DNS, Load Balancing, Storage, Azure Site Recovery Manager and Operations Management Suite.
  • Understanding about the challenges and considerations to be catered for while migrating applications from on-premise to Azure. Define solution architecture which meet availability, scalability and disaster recovery requirements of the application.
  • Knowledge of migrating applications to Cloud using Tools Azure Migration Services, AppZero, etc. will be nice to have.
  • Fundamental knowledge of AWS is desirable and understanding on how Azure IaaS v/s AWS IaaS compares to each other and conceptual knowledge of AWS RDS is desired.
  • Soft Skills such as writing High Level Designs and Presenting to the clients stakeholders is a must.
  • Work independent and collaborate with an big team of international expert around the globe.
  • Positive thinking. Think in possibilities instead of blockers.
