March 2, 2017 / Toronto – Jason Mackay, General Manager of COMPAREX Canada, was named one of Computer Dealer News’ (CDN) Top 25 Newsmakers in 2016 due to his impact on the Canadian channel community. Alongside other premier executives, Mackay was awarded with this distinction because of the impact he’s made since bringing COMPAREX AG to Canada in 2015.
COMPAREX AG is a global cloud solutions, volume licensing and software asset management firm with a 30 year history throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. In 2015, Jason Mackay, a longtime Microsoft and CompuCom executive, opened the first Canadian subsidiary for the technology giant and immediately made waves in the community with his focus on Microsoft alignment and cloud-first strategy.
“Part of our global strategy is to increase our reach and there was great impetus for Canada. Plus, we were invited by senior executives from Microsoft Canada to bring a new type of partner to this region that could focus on Microsoft and align to its cloud-first strategy,” Mackay said.
Offering proprietary managed services solutions that streamline organizations’ cloud usage and optimization, as well as advanced software asset management tools, processes and expertise, COMPAREX Canada has partnered with many notable clients in a short amount of time. As a two-year old business in Canada, it’s a great honor to Mackay and the larger COMPAREX community to be recognized with this distinction by CDN.
